Coppell Aquatic and Recreation Center
The City of Coppell is accepting applications for Group Exercise Instructors and Seasonal Recreation Instructors. Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent. Previous teaching experience is preferred. Must be drug-free and clean criminal history. Must have good communication skills and ability to deal with general public in a positive and courteous manner. Must be safety conscious and willing to follow rules and direction of supervisors. Must be safety conscious, diplomatic and professional.
In addition, the Group Exercise Instructor must have experience with health, fitness, sports, nutrition, and education. The employee must also be certified by a nationally recognized organization in the specific area of expertise (i.e. group exercise leadership, seniors, youth, yoga, spin, etc.).
Additional qualifications for the Recreation Instructor include prior experience with teaching general subjects, music, art, sports related classes such as soccer, track and swim, or presenting ideas to a group.
Starting Salary for the Group Exercise Instructor: $30.00 per hour
Salary Range for the Recreation Instructor: $10-$20 per hour depending on the class
