FORT WORTH -- A man suspected of driving drunk was arrested Wednesday night after police say he went on a ramming rampage, striking 17 vehicles with his truck in two separate parking lots before being apprehended by police.
Michael John Holden, 56, faces charges of driving while intoxicated and felony criminal mischief. Total damage at the two lots was about $75,000.
Lt. Paul Henderson, police spokesman, said police were called to the Star Light Lounge at 3137 Alta Mere Drive about 9:40 p.m. on a report that a man driving a white Toyota Tundra truck had just rammed several vehicles in the parking lot before speeding away.
Witnesses told police the man then drove to the Final Approach parking lot at 3109 Alta Mere Drive, where he rammed several more vehicles there.
A witness followed the man to the 6500 block of Calmont Ave. where the driver pulled over and stopped, and was quickly arrested by police.
Henderson said the man damaged 11 vehicles at the Star Light Lounge, causing an estimated $30,000 worth of damage, and six vehicles at Final Approach, resulting in about $45,000 worth of damage there.
No one was injured in the incident.
