Grace is nearly ready.
And we peeked at the menu.
Owner Adam Jones’ new restaurant of "modern American classics" is on schedule to open next week, maybe Monday.
He’s a prime steakhouse guy, so we knew Grace would serve beef; look for a prime strip or bone-in rib-eye for about $40, or a huge prime porterhouse for $79.
Chef Blaine Staniford (from Dallas’ Fuse and Scene) also offers Maine lobster in tarragon ($59), halibut with stone-crab "dumplings" ($33), veal chop, lamb or rosemary chicken.
One appetizer is a "Grace seafood tower" of shrimp, oysters and tuna ($44, or $72 with lobster and crab claws).
Grace will open 5:30 p.m. Mondays through Saturdays. It’s at 777 Main St.; 817-877-3388, gracefortworth.com.
The Main Street crowd will notice something new across the street: Six 10 Grille.
Six 10 Grille is the new name for the restaurant inside the Ashton Hotel. The dining room is quieter now with booths and carpet, so the Six 10 offers an even more sedate daily breakfast, lunch and dinner.
(Any meal goes with the "chocolate decadence" cake.)
The Ashton’s annual holiday tea begins next week. It’s a classic afternoon tea, 2-4 p.m. Wednesdays through Saturdays, reservations required.
Six 10 Grille is open 6:30 a.m.-9 p.m.; 610 Main St., 817-332-0100, www.theashtonhotel.com.
Park Row Drive in Pantego has a new burger hangout: Old Town Hamburgers.
Old Town replaces 20-year favorite Whizzbang’s, keeping the burgers and adding new items such as a half-pound "Cowtown burger" ($4.29) and a portobello-and-avocado burger ($4.29).
Old Town also serves daily breakfasts, including the migas and burritos from nearby cousin Mijo’s. Look for it at 2406 W. Park Row Drive; 817-276-9191.
